ARRIVING BY TRAIN
Take The Scenic Route
Travelling by train is one of the most enjoyable ways to reach Haus Mannenberg. Switzerland’s rail network makes the journey remarkably easy, while the final stretch through lakes, valleys and mountain villages offers a fitting introduction to the Bernese Oberland.

The nearest railway station is Zweisimmen, located approximately five minutes by car from Haus Mannenberg.
Regular rail services connect Zweisimmen with Spiez, Bern, Interlaken, Montreux, Gstaad and the wider Swiss railway network.

Haus Mannenberg can be reached on foot from Zweisimmen railway station in approximately 20 minutes.
Guests travelling with larger suitcases, ski equipment or young children may find a taxi or local bus more convenient.

Guests arriving from Montreux can travel through the Pays-d’Enhaut and the Bernese Oberland on the scenic GoldenPass route. The journey passes vineyards, traditional villages and dramatic alpine scenery before reaching Zweisimmen.
The GoldenPass Belle Époque operates between Montreux and Zweisimmen, while the GoldenPass Express continues between Montreux and Interlaken Ost and passes through Zweisimmen. Timetables vary, so guests should check the connection available on their intended travel date.

Travel At Your Own Pace
Arriving by car offers the greatest freedom for exploring the surrounding valleys and villages. Haus Mannenberg is accessible throughout the year, with an easy approach that requires no steep or challenging mountain roads.

Haus Mannenberg is accessible by road throughout the year. The final approach is not particularly steep, and the property is not normally affected by seasonal road closures.
We recommend following the directions supplied in your pre-arrival information rather than relying solely on the postal address.

Complimentary private parking is included with every stay, with a double garage and up to four additional outdoor parking spaces available. Parking reservations are not required.

The enclosed garage accommodates two cars. Vehicles with a height of approximately 200 cm can be accommodated.
Trailers cannot be parked at the property.

Winter tyres should be fitted throughout the winter season and are recommended from approximately October until the end of the mountain winter.
The road to Haus Mannenberg is normally kept accessible, and snow chains are not generally required. However, carrying chains can be sensible during exceptional snowfall or severe winter conditions.

A private electric-vehicle charging point is planned for 2027.
Until then, we will be pleased to direct guests to nearby public charging facilities.

Motorcycles can be parked outside the house. Bicycles and e-bikes can be stored inside the garage, where charging is also possible.
Secure ski storage is available at the property for all guests.
ARRIVING BY AIR
From Further Afield
Haus Mannenberg is within easy reach of several Swiss airports, with the onward journey possible by train, rental car or private transfer. Geneva is generally the most convenient major international gateway, while Bern offers the shortest onward journey by road.

Geneva Airport is our preferred major international airport and is approximately two hours by car from Haus Mannenberg.
The journey can also be completed by train, travelling via Montreux and the scenic GoldenPass route, or through the wider Swiss rail network depending on the selected connection.

Bern Airport is approximately one hour by car from Haus Mannenberg and is the closest commercial airport.
Flight availability is more limited than at Geneva or Zurich, so guests should confirm suitable connections before planning their journey.

Zurich Airport is approximately two hours and 20 minutes by car from Haus Mannenberg.
Regular rail connections also link Zurich Airport with Bern, Spiez and Zweisimmen.

EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg is approximately two hours and 20 minutes by car from Haus Mannenberg.
Guests arriving in Basel may continue by rental car, train or a privately arranged transfer.

A More Direct Arrival
For guests arriving by private aircraft, Gstaad Airport in Saanen offers the closest connection to Haus Mannenberg. Set in the heart of the Saanenland, the airport is just a short drive from the house.

Gstaad Airport, situated in Saanen, is approximately 15 minutes by car from Haus Mannenberg.
The airport serves private aviation and provides a convenient arrival point for guests travelling directly to the region. Aircraft suitability and operating conditions must be confirmed with the airport or charter operator before travel.

A private vehicle or chauffeur can be arranged to meet guests at Gstaad Airport and bring them directly to Haus Mannenberg.
VIP transfers are available upon request and at an additional charge.

Helicopter taxi, charter, sightseeing and transportation flights can be arranged through specialist local operators, subject to weather, permissions, aircraft availability and an appropriate approved landing location. We would not advertise landing directly at the house.

Close To Everything, Quietly Apart
Haus Mannenberg enjoys a quiet setting without feeling remote. Zweisimmen and the surrounding villages are within easy reach, while trains, buses, taxis and walking routes make it possible to explore much of the region without relying on a car.

The Mannried, Spitz bus stop is around three minutes away on foot, while Zweisimmen railway station can be reached in approximately five minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot.
From Zweisimmen, regional trains connect with Gstaad, Saanenmöser, Lenk, Spiez, Montreux and other destinations throughout the Bernese Oberland.

Supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, cash machines, the local hospital, petrol stations and ski-rental facilities are all available in and around Zweisimmen.
Most can be reached in approximately three to five minutes by car, or around 20 minutes on foot, depending on the individual destination.

A car is helpful for exploring remote valleys and smaller mountain destinations, but it is not essential for a stay at Haus Mannenberg.
The nearby bus stop, Zweisimmen railway station and local taxi services make it possible to reach the house and explore much of the region using public transportation.

Haus Mannenberg remains easily accessible throughout winter and is well placed for skiing across the Gstaad and Zweisimmen region. Roads and public transport operate throughout the season, though a little preparation is always worthwhile when travelling in the mountains.

Winter tyres are essential during winter conditions. Snow chains are rarely needed for the final approach, although carrying them can be advisable after particularly heavy snowfall.

Local bus and public-transport services provide access to Zweisimmen and surrounding ski areas.
The closest bus stop, Mannried, Spitz, is approximately three minutes from the house on foot. Current winter timetables should be checked before setting out.

The Rinderberg gondola in Zweisimmen is approximately four minutes by car from Haus Mannenberg.
It offers convenient access to the wider ski network connecting Zweisimmen with Saanenmöser and Schönried and is generally our first recommendation for guests beginning their ski day locally.

The Saanerslochgrat gondola at Saanenmöser can be reached in approximately 10 minutes by car.
It provides another excellent entry point into the ski area and is particularly convenient for guests wishing to begin their day closer to Saanenmöser and Schönried.

Secure ski and equipment storage is available at Haus Mannenberg. Skis, poles, boots and other winter equipment can be stored at the property rather than being brought into the bedrooms or living areas.
SUMMER ARRIVALS
Begin At The Front Door
In the warmer months, Haus Mannenberg is a natural starting point for walking, cycling and exploring the wider Bernese Oberland. Trails and quiet country roads begin close to the house, meaning many days can start at the front door without ever reaching for the car keys.

Walking routes begin directly from the house and continue through the surrounding meadows, countryside and mountain landscape.
Further hiking areas can be reached within minutes by train, bus or car from Zweisimmen.

Road cyclists and mountain bikers are welcome at Haus Mannenberg.
The surrounding region offers quiet valley roads, mountain routes and trails suitable for a wide variety of abilities.

E-bikes can be stored and charged inside the garage. Guests should bring the appropriate charger for their bicycle.

Zweisimmen railway station and the nearby mountain lifts provide convenient starting points for summer walks and excursions.
Seasonal operating times vary, so guests should check the relevant timetable before setting out.

Guests are welcome to arrive by bicycle. Secure indoor storage is available in the garage, and we would be pleased to assist with luggage transportation or onward-travel arrangements upon request.
