SLOW MORNINGS
The Day Begins Here
We have never believed mornings should be rushed. At Haus Mannenberg, breakfast is prepared each day and served from 8:00, leaving the house to wake gently around you. Coffee is poured, something warm arrives at the table and the first hours of the day are given the time they deserve—whether everyone gathers together or mornings are taken a little more slowly.
AROUND THE TABLE
Breakfast Is Better Together
Breakfast is served around the large dining table at the heart of the house. Fresh bread is passed around, coffee is poured and the day begins slowly, with nowhere in particular to be.
Some mornings call for long conversations and plans made over another espresso. Others are better spent quietly, with a newspaper, a book or simply the view beyond the windows. There is no particular way to begin the day—the table is yours to enjoy.
AT THE HEART OF THE HOUSE
A Home That Brings People Together
Haus Mannenberg was never designed as a hotel.
The historic layout places the kitchen, dining area, lounge and living spaces at the centre of the house, with bedrooms above and the terrace and garden just beyond. It is a home that naturally draws people together—over breakfast in the morning, around the kitchen while dinner is being prepared or beside the fire at the end of the day.
And yet there is always somewhere to retreat. A chair by the window, a quiet corner of the library, the garden or simply a room of your own. It is this balance between being together and having space to yourself that quietly shapes life at Haus Mannenberg.
THE BREAKFAST TABLE
Simple, Seasonal & Thoughtfully Prepared
Breakfast follows the seasons and keeps things deliberately simple.
Fresh bread from the local bakery, regional cheeses, homemade preserves, seasonal fruit and Swiss yoghurt are served alongside freshly prepared dishes, specialty coffee from MAME and a selection of teas.
Wherever possible, ingredients come from nearby, reflecting the landscape and supporting the farmers, producers and makers who are part of it.
AFTER BREAKFAST
Let The Morning Continue
There is no need to rush away once breakfast is finished.
Take another coffee onto the terrace, spend an hour with a book in the library, plan the day’s walk by the window or simply watch the changing light across the mountains. The house is yours, and the morning can last for as long as you like.
Perhaps the day begins with a treatment in our wellbeing room, a walk from the front door or a look through the pieces in the boutique. Or perhaps it doesn’t begin at all just yet.
