Meet Roger

Some guests arrive with a reservation. Others simply appear.

Roger has been visiting Haus Mannenberg for many years and has become part of the daily rhythm of the house. Independent and quietly confident, he usually appears without warning—sometimes to inspect the garden, sometimes to enjoy a sunny spot, and quite often in the hope that someone might have something delicious to share.

He has an excellent appetite and never seems to turn down a good meal. A few gentle strokes behind the ears are usually welcomed too, provided they’re offered on his terms.

If Roger chooses to stop by during your stay, consider yourself lucky. Spend a little time in his company, say hello, and don’t be surprised if he decides to join you for breakfast on the terrace before continuing on his rounds.

Like many of the best things in the mountains, Roger can’t be booked or planned for. He simply arrives when he feels like it—and somehow, Haus Mannenberg wouldn’t be quite the same without him.
